the joy of Christmas when you were a child - the anticipation and excitement of waking up on Christmas morning and rushing to the tree to see what surprises Santa had left for you. Today in San Diego county hundreds of children living in foster care and emergency shelters do not know that joy. Mi Casa Group Homes provides emergency shelter care and longterm treatment care for children who have been abused or neglected in their homes. You can help us bring the spirit of Christmas to these children.
We currently care for 42 children in our 7 shelter homes. Our agency is a non-profit 501 C 3 corporation serving San Diego county. Our residents range in age from 6 to 18 years old and they are mostly male.
We need your help to make Christmas morning special for them.

- Donate directly to our Christmas fund. 100% of the money donated to this fund goes to pay for Christmas items for the children. These include gifts as well as Christmas dinners, Christmas trees for the facilities and special outings during Christmas break. Click here for our donation form. Please send it with your check or money order to the address listed. Your contribution is tax deductible.
- Your family or organization can call 858-530-2590 after Nov. 15, and request the wish list of one or more of our residents. Then have fun shopping specifically for that child. We will give you instructions for dropping off your gifts or we can arrange pick up.
If you are unsure of what to give, every year most of our residents ask for gift cards so that they may pick out their own item. Popular gifts cards are usually from stores that sell various game products like Best Buy or Target and cards that can be used at a variety of stores like Westfield Shopping cards or Visa gift cards.
